Cigarette burns on car hood

Someone decided to put out a cigarette on my 2009 328i jet black sedan. I have 4 burns on my hood. Any suggestions on how to remove them? Should I go to my dealership to preserve my warranty? Thank you in advance for any help.

paint correction has nothing to do with your warranty.

please post pic, I have no idea what that will do to your clear coat.

You are going to need a re-spray.

what ?
what is wrong with these people ? I just don't understand it .

sorry to hear about your damage. Find a great body shop and get it re-sprayed .That is the only way to fix it correctly. some pictures if you get a chance.

you might be able to polish it out? i think a cigarette would burn out pretty quick when pressed down, so i couldn't see it doing too bad of damage to the paint... however i have never heard of something like that before, and i could be completely wrong...

I had someone leave a lit cigarette on the hood of my 66 Mustang, it did not polish out. The must have light it and it sat there until it extinguished. I don't think they liked me very much.

damn, what horrible thing to do on someone's car.

wondering if your car was really dirty at the time. because a layer of past particles might have protected the clear coat since the contact time between the paint and cigarette shouldn't more than one or two seconds, not long enough to transfer most of the heat to the paint.
