Wind noise on e92 after 120km?
Has anyone experienced wind noise coming from the top corners of the passenger and drivers windows when driving an excess of 120km/hr?
I recently when on a road trip and i noticed that after 120 wind noise started to increase as if air was leaking in through the windows....as if there wasnt a tight lock between the top corners of the windows and the weather stripping. I just wanna know if anyone notices the same thing before i take it in for warranty check....i wanna know if its normal before the dealer lies to me...lol |

I have the same problem! Even when i talking to people on my cellphone, they tell me that they can't hear anything.....its like im outside with some wind noise. F'ed up!
Im taking my car in, and you should too.....Don't take the dealers bullshit, you didn't pay 60k+ for a car to have wind noise. I test drove the new altima coupe and i couldn't hear SHIT, not even tire noise i was amazed....The only thing you would hear is your music or radio.

An ex pointed it out to me a while back.. I was in denial, haha. I asked the dealer to check it out, they said it was sealed and everything looked fine. Of course.

its normal, its just the design of the aerodynamics of the car...
it has nothing to do with a 50k car and how this is a defect... your not the only one, everyone has this... go drive a subaru sti, at exactly 180km/hr, you hear a much much louder wind whirling noise related to the side view mirrors, its just how the wind flows through the cars aero.. |

I don't have the wind noise or maybe I just don't notice it. I always use the BT while driving and no one has complained about it. Maybe because the car is new and still has the virgin window seals

I've never driven a car that had zero wind noise at high speeds. It's almost impossible, considering the tremendous amount of wind force 120km/h can produce. |

i just got a 09 e90 335i recently and found the same thing..!!
funny thing is, I switched straight from a 06 E90 330i to the 09 335i, and the first thing I notice in the 335i is the wind noise on highway (which I did not have on the 330i). It also sounds more like a small leak in the window rather than overall poor sound insulation. The noise is definitely not excessive....I used to have an RSX and it probably has 5x more wind/road noise on the hwy compare to the 335i, but unlike the 335i, the noise came from all over the car instead of just the edge of the door & window. I thought it was just a bad seal on my car....guess not. |

My guess is that I don't notice the wind noise because I only close them up to take a phone call. After the call ends they open backup. I guess at that point anything would seem quiet. I will not to taint my ear with the windows down and see what happens. |
