how o cut correct Measurment for SUBBOX
I'm going to be honest here. I am not very good in math so I need a little help from of you Trig guys or just plain smart people.
I am gong to lowes torrow to have them cut be some pices for my subwoofer box that I am going to make witha friend. The optimum size for the subwoofer is (.80). What I came up with was H 14" x L 14.5" D x 11". The Thickness of the MDW is 3/4 which = .75 and the subwoofer displacement is 0.181 which totals 0.81121 total interior volume. I left a little extra volume since most sites suggesting I brace my subwoofer box. If i am off in my measurment please let me know. My main problem is what are the measurment to cut the the 6 pieces to assemble the box. I ask this becuase I think that I need to determin of the side are going on the top of the MDF wood or are they going on the inside. I hope you understand what i am saying becuase I cannot explain any clearer. My question is how do i tell them to cut the pieces so this is assembled at the measurement above. R Freeway |

Additonally I think the pices cut should be
Top and Bottom (2 Slices) = 14.5 x l1 Front and back (2 Slices) = 14.5 x 12.5 Side Pieces (2 Slices) = 12.5 x 9.5 All pieces will be on top of the bottom pieces and on the inside of both bottom and top. If these measurments are correct just give me a thumbs up! or 2 pieces 12.5 x 11 = sides 2 pieces 14.5 x 11 = top and bottom 2 pieces 12.5 x 13 = front back Last edited by freemanjc; 04-22-2009 at 08:26 PM.. |
