Noise on breaking

Wonder if any of you are experiencing this. Just noticed in the last week that I am getting a noise when I hit my breaks from highway speed. Never used to get this noise. Seems to be coming from the front and sounds like a deep noise with a bit of a moan. Not sure if it is from the brakes or tires. Any thoughts or ideas on what it might be. Could poor alignment cause this?

Havent personally experience that. The only brake noise I have had is while rolling to a stop - only happens now and again and doesnt matter if the car is hot or cold. Told its normal for our brakes.
I would check with the dealer and get them to take a look - any vibration?

No vibration. Sounds almost like a tire moan. The pedal feels fine. It is just weird the way it started out of the blue. I had a hard time getting my winter rims off this year and am wondering if the pulling could have put the front wheel out of alignment. Is that possible? Will be using some anti-seize from now on.

Seems pretty odd - can't imagine being out of alignment would be the cause? especially since noise is only at hiway speed and since you said the pedal feels fine and no vibration.
Best bet is to take it in.

It is a normal noise and as your tires & brakes wear the noise will only get louder.

It's the brakes and it's normal. Cross-drilled brakes make a huming type noise when they are cold (like a first use at highway speed after they haven't been used for several minutes) or extremely hot. It's the pads making noise as they go over the holes drilled into the rotor face.

The noise was always there but you didn't notice it before. It might have gotten a bit louder now after some wear but it shouldn't be anything to worry about.
