damaged at the track

what happens as far as insurance is concerned if you damage your car at the track? does the stored information in the ecu or the key also reveal that you have been on the track to the service people?

Damage as in physical damage or stuff that you want to claim under warranty?

The ECU will store a bunch of stuff that some dealers may say you were not using the car properly and deny a warranty claim. Other dealers may be more accomodating for track activities.

no just wonder what happens in case this does happen? is the insurance going to deny claims because of how the damage occured? Is it likely to raise rates? Our cars are meant to be tracked so would the dealership actually look down on that use?

Yes. it also knows if you've been picking your nose while driving, and it would like you to stop.
