which e92?

I'm almost ready to order a new e92 '09 335i and narrowed it down to two choices. Both are about the same price.

335i with the m-sport package - love lemans blue
335i (x-drive) with the sports package - live in NJ

which one would you choose?

btw, I have an SUV that I use for winter now, but I don't know how long I will have it for...getting old.

Are you leasing or buying? If I was buying and I was stuck between the 2 choices I would go with choice #1. That combo will distinguish the car more and is likely to be a more desirable model for ones looking to pick up a used older model car. X-drive is useless to you if you do have an SUV for winters.

Don't let anyone on this site fool you that 4WD is good for anything else but snow driving.

Well he said he would be getting rid of the truck soon so... I'm guessing you're going to be needing the x? a e92 looks good no matter what color it is

If you have an SUV I would not get the x-drive. I don't think the increased ride height looks as good, plus you don't get the sport suspension

I'd go with #1 with the M sport pack anyway

Just get the msport. Either way. Leasing or buying. That mtech is just simply irresistable! Oh btw, if your getting the xdrive, even if it has no sport springs, just replace it with coilvers or spring/shock setup. The sport suspension is pretty harsh compared to those.

wow, thanks for the fast responses. The only reason I'm considering the xdrive is because it will be my daily driver in a few years. Also, I thought sport suspension came with the sports package even if it's an xdrive.

btw, I have a 330ci now. Is there a big driving difference between the rwd and xdrive?

It is one of the most debated topics on this board. Do yourself a favor and search and use your own judgment.

+1 on that.

However, if you get snows for option 1, you will be fine.

Skip the Xi, go with M sport and buy winter tires. It will meet your needs. Ultimately, go with what you like and want.
