E90 radio functioning abnormally.
Hi
When I turned on my radio today, I noticed that the sound is not clear.. I can hear songs but also do hear some static noise. I tried to tune the channels but doesn't help. Did anyone has this problem? If this is a known issue, is there a service bulletin? Thanks!

Was your rear defrost turned on? I'm assuming you were using your FM radio, correct?
I had a problem with my car where the rear defrost would interfere with my FM reception. It would go away once I turn the rear defrost off. It was later fixed by the dealer. |

interesting..
looks like my radio is back to normal again.. not sure what was going on earlier.. it is actually quiet windy outside today and maybe the wind interfered with radio signals??

Wind can not possibly interfere with radio signals. Clouds, however, can and do. If it were a windy day, there likely were lots of clouds, no?

i had the same problem twice during 1 year of ownership.
never had any idea what cause the problem both times occur when i try to start the car after a light shower in an open parking lot. i first suspected that the rain somehow got into the antenna, but i have no way to figure out the root cause of the problem, and i can't replicate the situation to my dealer. I've glad someone had brought this problem forward today, i thought mine was an isolated case |
