Fresh paint, waxing & a clear bra?

All,

I had an aero lip molded to my bumper and had the whole thing resprayed about a month ago. I'd like to protect it with a clear bra.

A few related questions...

How long after fresh paint should I wait before applying wax? (I've read here 3 months, is that true?)

If I'm getting a clear bra, should there even be a coat of wax between it and the bumper?

TIA.

I also had my front end freshly painted before the clear bra was installed. The bodyshop and the clear bra installer each told me the paint needed at least 30 days to cure before installing the bra or waxing the car.

Whatever wax/sealant you may have on the paint will be removed by the bra installer. They use some type of an alcohol solution to remove any contaminants on the surface to be covered.

Something you may want to bring up with the installer ........
Ask them to dry off whatever part of the car that gets wet that the bra isn't going to be installed on. My installer DIDN'T do this and caused hard water spots EVERYWHERE ......... my car was perfect when brought to them. I ended up getting my total cost refunded to me over it as I had to machine polish the hard water spots out of the paint.
