I'd take a turbo 335xi over a 60/40 weight split S4. 335 will be better on gas, quicker off the line because of the torque curve, and cheaper.

Since I've been so focused on the 335i, do you know what the 328 will have engine-wise? Will it continue to be the 3.0L N52 or will it be direct injection? Will the engine be the same one as in the current US 325 or 330i?

No AWD wagon? That doesn't sound right.

and you would have the excellent service of a bmw -- before my 330xi, i had a tt and the car would be in service for over 4 days each time

Its an N52. Direct injection motors don't use Valvetronic, and it says in the E92 press and ordering material that the 328i has valvetronic. Not to mention that detuning the N53 to 230hp for its US debut would be pointless.

That remains a mystery AFAIK.

Unfortunately, though, the S4 will have a lot tighter suspension. No sport suspension on xi models. Of course, aftermarket can fix that.

if you're talking about a sedan there is one to be release and if your talking about a coupe 335xi one is supposed to be released:

Not saying I just found out, but that BMW has confirmed model codes for ordering... but I am very proud of you.

Which is why we can basically just go by your info and ignore everything else.

I heard somewhere that it was MY08 for the E92 335xi. Sound right?
Any ideas on E93 335xi or 328xi? For some, those would make perfect all-year round cars.

Check Centernet. It was posted today. The wagon will only be with the 328 powerplant.

I have a bulletin that confirms what you are saying about the coupe. No plans for AWD convertibles as of yet... Did I mention I sell Porsche too?

No doubt, but your original post implied only a RWD, while I had heard that it would be available with both AWD and RWD.
