335 vs.

Hey guys I have been having alot of challengs on the road lately so I just thought I would start a thread where we could chat about them.......Anyway....

Yesterday I was up in Westminster and as I pulled up to the light an SRT8 Chrysler 300, Dodge Nitro SRT4, and a Pontiac GTO pulled up next to me, all black. It was pretty cool. Well I gave it a little gas on the light but I let the others go for it since we all know I cant afford another ticket. But anyway, who do you think would have won that? Keep in mind that I am tuned.

Also, today I pulled up next to an Audi S6 V10. It was pretty bad ass! We went for it from about 0-50 and I had him by about half a length. I wonder if he just wasn't pushing it or what?

You never what you are going to get so it's hard to tell. Not enough info, really. What have you ran in the 1/4?

The Audi-he was playing with you. Pull the specs up online! 435bhp and hits 60 in 5 flat with the auto and that V10 will pull stronger as the speed increases.

Power to weight, my friend.

S6: 435bhp. 4500 lbs. 10.3 lbs / hp

335i with tune: 360whp ~ 414bhp. 3500 lbs. 8.5 lbs / hp

And altitude.

Now those are sea level comparisons. If you are at altitude, the S6 loses 20% power and the turbocharged 335i loses about 10%.

It should be no comparison. The 335i should eat it alive.

I agree. He had a V10 and 400+hp but he was big and heavy. 5 flat? A stock 335 can acheive sub 5 sec 0-60 times. Even at altitued, the 335i with tune and intake is defiantly sub 5 sec.

Yup, I ran against a Caddy STS-V (the new one) and outcome was pretty shocking too me at the time. Thought I would get smoked, but those cars are such pigs, and even though its supercharged, they cannot adapt to altitude like a turbo can. He was looking at my taillights every time.

There is no new STS-V. There is a new CTS-V that makes 550+ bhp and you would get rapped. The STS-V is the S/C Northstar with 440 bhp. A chipped 335 should have no issues with that since it is +4000lbs and an auto slushbox. In a Motorweek comparo the new CTS-V worked the M5, even around Roebling Road racetrack which is a 9 turn, 2.01 mile course.

Since the OP did not give us ANY #s or 1/4 mile specs it is hard to tell what he's got.

Was not the new CTS-V, I would get smoked by that thing for sure no matter the altitude or mods. Should not have put "new" in there I suppose.

Guess what? I was acutally surprised on what just happend tonight. I was driving down I-25 southbound towards park meadows with the old lady. I was under the broadway bridge and see an EVO X and Sti come flying towards me realy quick. When they got next to me they slowed down. Evo was on my left and Sti on my right and we where going about 65 mph. Evo guy honks three times and all three of us floors it. Both of them got a jump on me by half a car and then I caught up to them so fast you can see their jaws drop. I was totally surprised because by the time I hit the brakes under Colorado blvd. I had them by bus lengths. I just thought that they would have kept up with me or even beat me because power to weight but I just pulled on them so easily. They caught up to me by Hampton and the Evo guy gives me a "hang loose' hand sign while the Sti guys give me a thumbs up. I'm surprise at what my car did. Really good turnout and heppy with my tune.
