Staggered 19" style 230's on my E92 Xi

just snapped a couple quick shots with the phone...I think H&Rs are going on soon....the wheel gap is just annoying the heck outa me!!! So far no problems with the staggered set up. I also just brought my car in for service this past Saturday and the dealership did not say anything.

looks good. I just did H&R coilovers on my XI made a huge difference looks soooooo much better. The gap looks more pronounced with the 19's at least mine did.
Oh yeah I'm running 235/35's and 265/30's with no issues.

Let us know if you start getting any problems with the traction control going off when it normally shouldn't. Also i haven't checked the numbers yet, but if you ever replace a tire when the rest of the tires are worn (due to puncture or some other damage) you might actually need to replace all 4 tires. Those tires sizes come out to .7% difference

Have you notice any improvement with grip on smooth surfaces with the slightly wider tires...i know the rft bridgestones like to skip when taking turns on bumpy roads. I'm trying to decide on my summer set of tires and wheels and i really like the 230s for their oem look and the way they have design cues of the coupe body built in (concave and crease).

They look great on your car.
Just a quick question, did you buy those tires new or transferred them over from your old rims?

The reason I ask is because the diameter difference is around 0.7% which is fairly close to the 1% limit on the xi's. I am sure its not big problem but there is also another good combination for the 19's that make the difference in the diameter between them only 0.1%.

Either way, those rock on the car

no these are new tires; they are the oem bridgestone potenza rft's that came with the wheels brand new. My old tires were 235/35/19's which i sold with the M6 wheels. I'm loving the fat tire look in the rear but the handling is not as good as my old setup. It also feels much heavier than my last setup.

well i've had 235's on my car as my last setup so this wasn't too different. Now i'm running 225 up front and 255 in the rear...handling is similar but it just feels much heavier than the last setup.

If you're going to get new summer tires, stick with non rft's...consider the PS2's.

I'm sorry i was getting another thread mixed with this one, i thought you had 235/265, that's why i asked about the slighty wider tire handling...yeah i decided to ditch my oem rft's and make my 189 styles my winter setup, but now i need a whole new setup for summer. I thought the rft's handled great in germany where the roads were all very smooth, but they are not good in the states...they are too delicate wich is an irony to their run flat function.
