Quarter Mile Time

Hi Everyone,

So I got a chance to go to Infineon Raceway today. I am on stock RFT running on 91 octane. Only mods are bms dual cones, magnaflow mufflers, and procede v3 rev 1 on doomsday stage 1.
Honestly, I was quite disapointed. Am I supposed to be running faster? Or is this what I am supposed to be running with the mods I have. Only got to run twice. And side note this is my first time at the drag strip with this car. Here are my runs:

Run #1
R/T .567
60' 2.358
330' 6.1430
660' 9.311
mph 76.35
1000 12.034
1/4 14.3 @ 99.08mph

Run #2
R/T .287
60' 2.345
330' 6.127
660' 9.180
mph 81.32
1000 11.740
1/4 13.920 @ 102.18

the guys that are good at drag racing (not me) can manage a 60 foot time under 2 seconds. If you were to take .5sec off of the 60, that would also take .5sec off the et.

The car has lots more potential than you were unable to find in your 2 passes.

That's true, but his trap speed was ridiculously low as well.

What was your shift point?

I believe I was shifting close to redline on each gear...thats what I find odd is my trap speed. I believe I should be trapping a lot faster than 102

If you were spinning off the line then you will usually have a lower trap especially with the RFTs and 91 oct.

what was your tire pressure.. and it looked like your car was adapting and getting faster. and octane is a big helper with mph.

What were you launching at (RPM wise) - assume you have a manual?

Some people may be able to chime in with optimal launch RPM's with a manual - myself I find its got to be below 2500 because otherwise I'm going to spin and waste time.
