2009 E92 - Active Head Rests

Does the 2009 E92 have active head rests? The manual indicates they are standard equipment. The reason I'm asking is that I was rear-ended and the body shop called a service to reset the active head rests, but the computer they hooked up to my car did not indicate that my car had active head rests.

they basically move forward to catch your head, and i guess prevent whiplash. they're fixed to the seat so i believe no more being able to tilt the headrest manually. also makes insurance cheaper.

Which model year did this feature become standard. I have an 08 335i coupe and would like to know.

The question is how does it work? When the outside company hired by the body shop hooked up his computer to my car, nothing registers on the computer as having active head rests. I'm taking the car into the dealer tomorrow to have them look at it. Not sure if it needs to be re-set after the rear-end collision.
