Smile launch stopped? DTC off?

Hey guys

so i was trying to do a launch the other nite revd the car up to 5000rpm tried to "release" the clutch and the car wouldn't move it kept the clutch pinned to the floor...this seems like a safety feature is this correct?

also the car when really driving it (i have the procede v1 installed) with my maps enabled i lose traction and the lite goes on and stops the car...if i shut off DTC/traction control will this let the wheels spin / lose traction?

thanks !

Press and hold the DSC button for 3 seconds until you see a triangle with a arrow around it. That means DSC/DTC is OFF and you can spin the wheels or launch without any intervention from the stability control system. I don't have a stick so I can't answer your first question. Hopefully, if my knee holds up, it'll be in my next car.

Yes, you hooligan. Deactivating the Traction control gives you all the ingredients to end up in the ditch.

The car is amazing, it has a lot of power. Be careful. Have fun with it, but in a controlled environment. Other then that, enjoy the new ride and and post pics or it never happened.

Dont know how it kept the clutch "to the floor" but the 335i makes peak torque at 1400RPM, there is no need to launch at 5000RPM unless you are completely thick.

just in first gear you mean peak torque correct? cause it definitely goes beyond that in preceding gears.

I meant pics of your car. You know the 335i.

Was that the ride before the 335i? If it was, sorry

You have peak torque at 1400 RPM. Glad you're ok and the Cayanne is back!

The M6 reps look drop dead gorgeous on the e9x. That's what I would go for.
