The BMW floor mats are CRAP!

I have 15k miles on my floor mats in less than 2 yrs of driving and they are falling apart. Stitching is coming apart on the passenger side both front and rear. I hardly ever have passengers especially in the rear . Driver's side looks like $hit. Velcro on the reverse side is coming off as well. Must be made in China? Anyone else have similar problems?

the rubber ones are unreal!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

way way way better than the rubber ones with the ridges..

http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=873

they are the best!!! easy to clean and look like brand new after 2 horrible winters!!!! I love them so much i keep them in all year round!!! i never have anything on the carpet everything stays on the mat and they fit perfectly!!! you can just ask for those instead of the carpet ones when you order the car.. most dealers have them in stock as they are much better than the rubber one with the ridges.

dude, you've already posted 2 other threads on the same subject

Are floor mats covered under factory warranty

Anyone having a problem with their floor mats coming apart?

How many more threads do you have to start on the subject to gather more people to agree with you? Yes, they're not that great, what are you going to do about it? 1) replace them yourself 2) get BMW to replace them 3) buy aftermarket ones

that doesn't look so bad to me, just minor wear from what I can tell. Floor mats are a wear item anyway. Maybe more so on the 3 series tho. The mats in my integra still looked great after 14 years. well, the drivers one was mushed down where my heal was, but still looked pretty good.

for the bimmer, I got a 2nd set of mats for free when I took delivery, so I'll just save em for when these wear out.

The idea with mats is that they will take the wear rather than your carpet under them. Mats are not suppose to look good after years of use.

You so need to get these:
I have them in beige and they are awesome. They're so long too, they go all the way up the front of the car on the passenger side. These aren't the ones with the ridges/lines, but the ones with the carpeted "heel pad." You can clean the heel pad part with windex.

I let my wife drive my car to work one day. The next day, my mat was worse than the OPs. Woman's heels + floormats = no bueno.

These are indeed awesome, got them in black via ED. Yes the passenger side didn't hold up on its own and I had to fix it with some velcro from homedepot, no big deal.

They even being shampooed every now and then
I have rubber ones as well, but i refuse to use them, ugly and catches your foot a bit (when you press clutch)

Not sure why people complain
They are very good quality IMO

BMW is aware that the original mats are crap and will replace on request. Mine were curling and were replaced with new improved mats, no curling.

Yeah, the OEM carpet floor mats suck balls. The rubber ones may hold up better, but I just can't bring myself to using rubber mats in a BMW. I think I'll replace them with quality aftermarket ones...
