2008/09 E92 Coupe + Huper Optik tint: anyone happy?

The 2008-2009 E92 Coupe is infamous amongst tint installers because it's so hard to work with the dots on the rear window and lateral windows.

I am looking for pictures of the two front and top rear windows dots-matrix areas on a E92 Coupe.

Has anyone gotten HO Ceramic 30 (35% VLT) film installed and is happy with the job the installer did with it?

Would appreciate it if you guys could indulge my request for pictures.

Thank you in advance.

and I would really apprecite it if you had bothered to search.

The dot matrix is not a problem solely for the E92 line, it's on the E90s and E91s as well.

Search for "dot matrix", "tint", "HO" or a variation/combination of these keywords

Never assume: done that indeed.

More importantly, I am looking for pictures of the side windows dots-matrix on a 2008 coupe tinted with HO Ceramic 30 film.

Hence my request. Got any?

If you don't, I would resent your useless post on my thread.

that's a freebie, like I said, .

Don't reply with "but that's not Huper Optik 30%...", it's the tinter that matters. Just like a good detailing job, the brand of wax/sealant matters very little if the detailer is competent and does great prep work.

That's what I read/ hear everywhere. People recommend this one installer in Manhattan but "there is no guarantee about the dot-matrix areas".

I want that tinted look on my car without going (too) dark.

The rear window in the pictures in the link provided by our friend below is actually one of the best I have seen on a E92 Coupe.

But what about the lateral windows (which goes down/ up every time the doors is opened/ closed)?

I appreciate your efforts but I am looking for pictures of the front lateral windows on the coupe. BMW put dots on those as well.

My understanding is that their Ceramic film doesn't contain any metal and therefore isn't a problem with radio frequencies at all.

Have you read the specs on the HO?
With the Ceramic 30 (34% VLT) massive heat (>60%) and UV (99%) rejection without having to too dark (20% VLT and below).

:

are you sure about this?
cause thats the first time i've heard of such a thing. because it sounds like you are refering to the driver and passenger window (big ones). - is that correct?

Indeed, on the coupe, a vertical dots strip near the pillars on the driver and passenger windows.

You can believe whatever you want. I'm just telling you what goes on in MY driveway. The reception is not horrible but it has been affected. Sometimes I need to touch the handle a couple of times to get it to act right. It started doing this immediately after the tint was put on.

lol leave any car in the heat and it'll warm up no matter what. even if you had half metal construction films, you most likely wont have any problems with radio or comfort access.

like canuck said... search.

whatever dude, i'm just telling like it fucking is. I don't have to search as I have HO ceramic tint on my car and if fucks with my CA. That is all.

I am trying to save this person some potential grief. I had a partial metal hybrid tint on my e92 335 and the CA absolutely sucked. When I got my e90 M3 i went with HO because I heard it caused no problems. Well guess what it does. The CA acts funny. It sometimes doesn't unlock or lock until I touch the handle a few times. It is not as bad as the hybrid tint was but it is not 100% right either.
