Opinion - Install Hamann Diffuser Myself or take it to a body shop?

Hey

I ordered the quad tips and CF diffuser and they arrived today

Now for the install.

These are going on a stock e92 bumper. The question is, do I cut the bumper myself and put the diffuser on, or do I have a body shop do it? Can't imagine they would charge a lot.

Opinions are welcome.

Obviously I will be going to a muffler shop to have the new quad tips welded.

Thanks for any help you may wish to provide

Mike

I would say go to a shop to do the work and make it look right...I have seen your hack jobs enough to say that installing something like this I would sent it out for sure!! lol
I wouldn't trust myself doing it either!

When its done right - the satisfaction you did it yourself can't be beat

When it comes out jacked up - the regret you didn't take it to a body shop gnaws at you

If you have to ask, then you should just take it somewhere.

If you have to question your facility to do this yourself... TAKE IT TO THE BODY SHOP

I am not question whether I can do it or not LOL I am sorta asking if its wise to do it myself. Seems simple enough, but I have also learned that some things are best left to experts.

I completely agree that you get great satisfaction from doing a job yourself, but I have always been leery of body work.

Thanks for the responses guys..

For those who have done it, how have you mounted the diffusers? Screws, Epoxy, or both?

Oh ok... If you feel this job is within your skill set then by all means, have at it and save some money :-)

Just don't regret it later and end up having to take it to a shop anyway if you're displeased.
