or lower the price. A moderately equipped 328 closes in on $45K fast. For that you get 230hp and 200 ft-lbs of torque. By contrast, a fully loaded Honda Accord V-6 coupe has a base price of around $30K. For that you get 271hp, 251 ft-lbs of torque and 0-60 in 5.6 seconds with a manual. And it doesn't require premium fuel. I know completely different driving experience, badge exclusivity, Blah! Blah! Blah! No matter what the arguement, it's not $15 grand better. There's no reason BMW can't up the 328's performance especially for the price they are asking. Even the X3 which uses essentially the same engine puts out 260hp.

then why the hell are you still driving a BMW for? sell it and get an Accord/Camry and if you want more hp(bang) for your buck, get a Mustang, or better yet, a Genesis Coupe.
and yeah, a 45k 328i sedan is not moderately equipped, it's fully loaded. you gonna pay to play. you're driving a luxury German brand. |

I got my 328xi pretty much fully loaded for 42k... Besides, a Honda Accord isnt a BMW...say what you want about the power but your forgetting handling, ride quality, interior styling ect...
What I dont understand is that the 328 is pretty much the same as the 330 performance wise, and when that was their top of the line you certainly werent complaining when you bought yours. |

I shouldn't jump in but...PUUULLEEEAASE! If you are comparing a Honda to a BMW than you shouldn't be looking at a BMW. Everything can be made to look good on paper. The Accord is a damn good car for sure. And for the daily grind and mundane driving tasks it would do perfectly. If you however have more "vigor" and actually drive your car for the drive, you cannot compare. As BMW once said, those that have not driven a BMW just don't understand. If you have and you still don't get it. You're right, save your money and buy an Accord.

I don't find the 328i too slow. My sister has a fully loaded V-6 2006 Hyundai Sonata with 237hp. That thing feels like a dog compared to the 328i. 230hp sounds weak, but the power delivery on the 328i is just so crisp and responsive. I came from an 02 M3 and for real world power I think the 328i does fine.

I read the first three sentences of the OP and I can already tell this thread is full of fail. Have fun and play nice now, ya hear?
Oh, ok, you don't really have to play nice. |

I don't even know what to say. If all out speed is most important to you, get a Chevy Cobalt with the turbo engine.
Also, my moderately equipped 328i e90 retailed for less than $38K. For $42K that is not a moderately equipped 328. Thanks, Mike. |

The 328 with ZSP is one of the best handling sports sedans made. Don't take my word for it - almost every car magazine says the same thing. With a 6MT, the 328 does 0-60 in 6.1 according to C&D. The E36 M3 wasn't much quicker and you had to rev it to get the power. The 328 is a great value FOR ENTHUSIASTS - people that like a firm ride, look forward to winding roads and like to drive fast. For those that want more power, the 335 is even better. Honda Accords are great cars compared to most, but they aren't in the same league as the 328. |
