Only my 2nd time in 2 years, but it was not a pleasant sound. Happened as I was turning into a car wash. I knew those car washes were no good! Looked under and it's a big scrape, although can't be seen from the front, only if you look under. Even looks like the material got distorted under the car. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Once so far when I took an onramp way too fast. The turn had a dip to it. I heard a nice thunk. I'm sure there are some scratches under there but I'm too lazy/scared to go look.

I've never hit the actual plastic (I think...) but I scrape the rubber deflector things right in front of the front wheels more often I would like... At least I hope it's only those.

Mine is multi-colored & scarred for life. Altho I'm the only one who knows or cares.
Speed bumps, potholes, uneven pavement eat them for lunch. GL

About scraping it, i do it quite regularly and have decided not to bother getting it repaired as it is a place nobody sees and i am okay with a few scrapes which give the car character.

I scrape something (the very bottom of the front bumper or perhaps the pad underneath) just about every day pulling out of my office parking garage. No way for me not to unless I do the lowrider diagonal thing, which I'm not going to do...
No big deal - can't tell

None yet on the '09. Once on the '06 and that was enough.

I'm going to attempt to touch-up even though it's not that effective. My thinking is that perhaps scraping is really beyond the control of the driver, just don't push it into a concrete block while parking--that would probably do damage that can be seen from the front.

Just one time that I actually did. Dealership did a small scratch under the passenger side for me ..very slight. You can't really see it. You have to get down on the ground and look up to see it.. ouch.

I don't think I've done it on this car yet. My integra had a longer nose, and was lower than my e90, so I got really good at angling into driveways and such to avoid scrapes. Makes driving the e90 a piece of cake.

I scrape my bumper almost every time I pull out of my driveway. Which is why I'm not adding a front aero, just the back. Sounds worse than fingernails on a chalkboard......No matter how slowly or how much I angle it.

I scrape every day because of a big dip going through the main gate up on base...

I had a driveway like that once... my '00 Celica GT-S would not go up the driveway forwards, backing into it was the only way. At an angle, no less.

one more reason i seriously consider going 225/45/18 front, and 255/40/18 rear next. Vredestein Sessanta's on top of the list so far, as i struggle to find Falkens .

I put a nice 2" gash coming over a damn speed bump. Big nasty removable black rubber speed bumps in the entrance to one of the posts i work at. Forgot and hit it doing about 15 mph. Lucky i saw it when i did or i think i would have really brained my suspension.
