Feedback wanted on price calculator draft

I just put together a price/payment calculator to help me make up my mind on getting a 328i v. 335i and ED v. USA delivery. Attached is a jpeg shot of the Excel page for the 328i. I'd appreciate any feedback on costs and calculations. You can unzip the Excel in the Financing forum (sorry about double post, but I'm sure some people won't open zipped files). Thanks in advance.

Have you driven a 328 and a 335? I would think if you had the decision would be very simple. I'd take a less optioned 335 vs a more optioned 328 if I wanted to stay within a certain budget.

I have driven both and liked them both immensely. The 335i is stupid fast, but the 328i is no slouch either. Since I don't go to the track (at least yet) the 328i will easily exceed my daily driver needs, but for only a few dollars more...and this worksheet will hopefully help me make the decision.

I assume you are buying and not leasing correct? That was the deal breaker for me on the 335. The money factor is MUCH better on the 328i lease.

it's $7,000 dollars between the two cars they way you have them configured. Is that worth it to you? We are not buying the car - you are, so you have to make that decision. you can lose a few options on the 335 to bring the difference down, but it all comes down to what price you feel comfortable with.

I'm actually asking for feedback on the pricing worksheet. The numbers, what to tax and what not to, etc. Do they look ok? Am I missing anything?

Dude, you still fail and here's why. You said that you were attaching a screenshot of some Excel pricing sheet you created, yet your second post has a zip file. You're totally right, I'm not opening a zip file (much less an Excel file, but a jpeg, sure) from a complete stranger.

Speaking in general, though, you should take your final pricing and add 10% to it, which will get you close to the final price, which includes TTL, MACO, etc. If you are fortunate enough to live in a state without sales tax, then this doesn't apply. Good luck.

I did EuroDelivery on my 335i.

No regrets.

I knew i'd regret the 328i if I had gotten it.

One comment on the spreadsheet has to do with how you calulate the selected options (cells G5 and G6). The way you designed the spreadsheet, you have to zero out the price for the options you do not choose, which is fine, if you can remember all of the invoice prices. You should add a third colum next to the invoice column, and just put an 'X' in a cell next to an option you choose. Then in cells G5 and G6 you'd run a sumif. Just my $.02.

Puhleez. Although he's right about the original source. My apology to the creator if offense taken. Just trying to use the information shared here to get into a BMW.

They are added to the final sale price, which is taxed as a whole.
