Question Does it matter how many miles have been put on a SSTT?

Ready to buy a SSTT, but is there any downside to buying a used one from someone on the forum?
Thanks

It isn't a wear and tear kind of item so I think if anything that one is safest to buy used. I would however make sure that the seller gives you at least a day to try in case it's fried already.

What happens if it is "fried'?

Too lazy to search. Drinking an IPA.

It will usually be a bit greasy and hot to the touch.

Too lazy to give you a real answer. Drinking a Corona.

They last a long time, but if it's running low on boost you can send it in for a refill.

If it's fried, you'll probably get an error light since it essentially means your TMAP is disconnected. It'd be a long time before that happened though.

What price are you going to pay used?

If it was me I would need a considerable saving to for go the 1 year warranty from split second.

Yeah...consider the cost compared to the JB+, too. Basically the same thing, but you can adjust the boost level and it's cheaper.
