Ever get a call from someone claiming to represent BMW?

Got a call from someone who wanted to follow up on BMW's behalf. It was a 949 area code.

I don't know what it was concerning. They didn't say. I haven't had any service done recently.

Anyone ever get a call like this?

Yes, for surveys. They never asked for any personal information though. If the caller tried to extract any info out of you, I'd be very suspicious. If not, it's probably just a marketing thing.

Thanks for the heads up. I told her I wasn't home and to try back. I'm sure they will call again. They called yesterday and I didn't pick up.

I thought it was a telemarketer or an automated system telling me I just one a fabulous cruise for two aboard the S.S. Norovirus. Go on a cruise and spend the whole trip in the shitter.

I had someone call me about 2-3 times/day for a couple months. It kept saying "toll free". I also thought it was a telemarketer, even though I'm on the "no call list". I finally picked up and it was a outsourced company representing BMW finance. they claimed I was 2 months late on my payments. Funny thing is I payed my car off in full 2 months prior. I opened up on her like you wouldn't believe.

I called BMW finance and they apologized up and down....said it was a glitch in their system. It was more like somebody screwed up. I had to make sure there was nothing negative on my credit report....which there wasn't.

Sounds like yours is a survey however....like other's mentioned.

Yeah they'll call you a whole bunch of times. They're persistent.
