S4 - you don't like driving in a circle all day? I mean, you do get to turn 3-4 times, right?

From what I heard last year was the Last Vegas event for quite a while. I think the cost of the event was greater than the income and they decided to call it quits.

I may be Mistaken, so double check with the Vegas chapter, but that's what I recall hearing from those in the know.

its Spring Mtn or autox that weekend. I'm torn. Especially since I got cleared to autox the pickup. I'll decide in a week or two.

how can you be torn between Autox and a track day?
I don't want to bring out my brand new track setup at an autox.. would much rather bring out out to a track day first

There are numerous Stage 3 Audi S4s on California tracks that will surprise the hell out of you.

It would take much less than a Stage 3 Audi S4 to surprise me... I am no where near your level... I was just trying to encourage Satakal to go to this event with me

I was just telling him the other day that I bought the same track setup that you have.. The SSR's 18x8.5 wrapped in bridgestones 235-40-18 RE1-R all around from Tirerack (closeout of the tires at $108 each was a great deal)
I still wanted to try 245-40-18 but wasn't sure if I would rub on the fender with the 32 offset on these wheels..

Doing great, M3 is running very smooth. I'm trying to get everything in order so I can track it those days. How is everything on your end?

I'm over the roval at Cal Speedway. It is fun the first time, and acceptable the second. But I have run it 5 or so times and it is just not exciting anymore. Plus there are WAY too many walls too close when you are going too fast with no cage. If you have never run there before, it is worth going at least once.

I signed-up for the school hosted by BW on April 12th and running the auto-x on April 26th. Perhaps I will sign-up for the May 29th BW... I love that track!!

Do what I do for NorCal events mang. Rental car derby.

Believe you me...it can be fun. Especially when the rental car is a 4 speed automatic piece of sh*t with 4 cylinders and 120 hp on a good day and all-season tires. Imagine the looks on the other instructors when they saw us on track with a Chevy Malibu looking like it's about to take a p*ss in a turn.
