Take Over My 135i Employee Lease!

Hi guys, I have placed my 2008 Sparkling Graphite Metallic on Black Boston Leather 135i Coupe for lease transfer on Leasebusters. Please check out the listing and if you know anyone that is interested, i would really appreciate the referral.

It is a 2008 135i Coupe with Premium Package, M-Sport Package, 6 Speed Automatic with M-Steptronic Paddles (ZAN) and it also has USB Audio Integration. It will have the high performance 18" M-Double Spoke Wheels with Summer Performance tires on it when you take it over. I have also tinted all the windows to the darkest legal limit except for the front windshield. The car is immaculate and remember BMW pays for all your oil changes. As long as the brakes aren't abused, you won't need to change them for the life of the lease. So basically there are no maintainance costs.

It was originally a 24 Month Lease, there are approximately 18 Months Left (Lease Maturity Date: August 6, 2010)

You can drive it up to 48,000kms with no penalty, there are currently about 23,600kms on the vehicle right now. This leaves you about 1355kms/month with no penalty. Each additional kilometer over is 0.15 cents.

The payment is $733.00/month taxes included.

I will pay for half of the lease transfer fees. And i won't take any money down. The amount you have to pay is approximately $575.00 including taxes for the administrative fees over at BMW Canada Financial Services.

Since i am a Client Advisor at the dealership, i get the vehicle at invoice plus an additional discount and a 2% higher residual, which further lowers the monthly payment.

This is an awesome deal to whoever gets it first. I will be available to show the vehicle to those who are interested in the Greater Toronto Area (I live in Richmond Hill). The reason i am putting this up is because i am doing a lot of kilometers (i work in Ajax and live in Richmond Hill). I will be switching my vehicle about every 6 months so keep an eye out for these!

First come first serve basis. Whoever gets their credit approved first and can take over the lease, gets it. I will have actual photos of the vehicle up on leasebusters tomorrow.

http://www.leasebusters.com/en/details.asp?ID=71351

For Inquiries call 416-818-5387.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post!

You can get a 135 Cabriolet with M-Sport Package, Premium Package with Boston Leather, Premium audio which includes Usb, Automatic with shift paddles for 650$ Tax in 0$ Down on 36 months with 18k a year on a brand new car.
And since you are a CA at a dealership then this post makes it all that much more disturbing.
Not only have you done 24k in 6 months but you want the person taking over the lease to pay half the transfer costs?!

I was an employee of a BMW dealership, and your deal is not really all that cheap for it to be an employee deal. employees at my dealership are paying around $450 US for their 1s

I was also under the impression that employee leases were nontransferable according to BMWFS

You're comparing a 24 month lease with 24,000kms/year with a 36 month lease payment with 18,000kms/year...

Even on that "Zero" Down term, your upfront payments will still be around $4,000.00.

If you're rolling in all of your upfront payments into your lease, i guarantee that your monthly payment will be significantly higher than mine.

I'm not sure how it works stateside, but here we can transfer leases that are done under RELP (Retail Employee Lease Program) to non retail employees.

Actually no i'm comparing it to a 18 month lease with 24,000km left.
With a very expensive payment for our day and age.
8 months ago,12 months ago i'm sure it would have been a good deal.
But nowadays it's not good at all.
And here in Quebec you don't get screwed like other dealers in Canada.
Freight and Pdi is always included in Quotes.
So your up front payment would be first and security.
That's 1300$.
And you want what? Half the transfer costs of 575$??!! lolololol
That's the total transfer costs. Dealers just charge 1000$ + because they make money on it.
Bud you knew that already

What % is the residual value? What was the MSRP? What was the purchase price? I would want to know these if I were to lease a vehicle. I think you guys are being too harsh on David. I don't think it's a bad deal. I will pass this to couple of friends.

That being said David, I don't think you will find anyone to take over the lease with any kind of money down. You gotta pay the transfer costs as it is your fault not to honor the original lease term and not the potential buyers. Also, you should offer some dealer goodies (like free mats etc) since you are working there.

Really? Is this true? Can you point me to a dealership that offers this?

I've been looking at David's deal and wondered how good it is.

If you are looking for a fully loaded 135i, then it is not a bad deal at all. Go on BMW.ca and build Davids car. Now do a 24 month 24,000km lease with 0 down and it comes out to $1178 taxes in. Now, yes, I do think that is INSANE, and I personally would not spend almost 1200 a month on a 1 series, but at $733 tax in with absolutely 0 down (no pdi freight etc.) its not bad for a $50,000 car. I've seen Davids car and it is a pretty sweet ride. Like Lagos said...HungryMan, you should ask David for some winter mats or somethign and seal the deal if this is the car you are looking for. Even with 0 down in Ontario, you still end up spending thousands the day you go to pick up the car...this is truely 0 down which is nice.

Thanks for the support. It's just frustrating to me seeing people shrug this off as a scam just because i'm a client advisor. I got the vehicle at dealer invoice plus an additional discount. I didn't write this in the quote, but the vehicle will come with BOTH sets of OEM mats (Winter Rubbers and Summer Carpets)

If it's a matter of covering the other half of the transfer costs, i have no issue with that. Just take my lease over!

The original MSRP of the vehicle was $49,650.00
The residual at the end of the term is $32,769.00

These are the payments with over 11% discount on a brand new car back in the summer of 2008. (Back when you guys were fighting for 5-6% off on the car)

It's completely unfair for you guys to call this a bad deal!

Thanks again for keeping my car in your thoughts!

We're not screwing you by showing you PDI and Freight Separately. Some people want to lower their upfront payments to $1300 or whatever. It's just a matter of rolling it into the vehicle lease.

If it's a matter of dealing with the $575.00, i have no issues with that.
The dealers charge $1000+ because most of that goes to BMW FS. The dealership portion of the deal i've already settled with the business manager (who would normally make commission on this)
And of course i know that. I bet you didn't know what the breakdown was =P

In any case, if you're not interested, what's the point in bashing?

Actually i know the breakdown because i'm very close with a few managers at certain dealers.
The total transfer cost required by Bmw financial Services is about 575$, anything on top of that is gravy for the dealership.
What annoys me here is that you work for Bmw and you probably think that we're clueless.
Anyways Good luck with the sale Bud

You guys kill me!David is not offering a crappy deal here, but it is unusual in the fact that it is a 24 month lease not a more common 36 or 48 month deal. This is a deal that will work for someone wanting a short term commitment that puts lower milege on.If I needed another car for my wife I would seriously consider this deal as It would work out quite well for her needs. If you looked at our leases on our 3 vehicles you would think that I am crazy in the way that they are set up,but that allows me to be able to change vehicles with a much greater frequency(in a more normal market!)

That's a nice residual at 66%. When I leased my G35 back in 2004 for 24mths, the rate was 62% and I thought that was good.

I think if you pay the lease transfer costs (whatever it might be, potential buyer is not gonna care anyway), and perhaps throw in some goodies, I don't think you are gonna have any problem transferring this.

It is a good deal for someone who is looking to have fun for a little while. $650+taxes is good in Canada and should not be compared to the US where people are getting loaded M3s for US$700s.

I was initially looking at covering my transfer expenses, but i will now cover the $575 on BMW FS side in order to move the sales faster.

I don't think you guys are clueless. Hell, most of you guys on bimmerpost.com know more about the cars than half of the salespeople out there.

You just restated what i initially said regarding the transfer costs.
