Looking for a clear laquer

So I bought some cheap matte black grills and I want them to be glossy which means I want to spray several coats of clear laquer on it. Where can I buy clear laquer that is suitable for the grills and the environments that it will face? All I can find is clear laquer for wood.

I prefer not to buy online since I dont have much time.

I would use a can of spray on clear-which I think you can find at most hardware stores.

Any auto accessory stores that sell paint and auto supplies will have clear. Make sure to test first, you can get some nasty surprises putting paint on plastic.

Is there like a specific kind? All I can find are for wood patios to make them waterproof.

BLAH!!! "Layering" is NOT going to make it more 'glossy'- if anything this will lead to the clear coat cracking and peeling more. I'm assuming you purchased plastic, and adding anything on top will eventually peel.... just an FYI. The proper way would be to prep, sandpaper, wash, buy duplicolor trim black (or whatever color) spray then do a clear coat. This will keep it from peeling and cracking. Just don't LAYER it, please.
