We should see the facelift in about 7 months.

I'm not saying that it's a forgone conclusion that the designers won't mess something up with the facelift, I'm just saying that designs are never perfect and can always be improved upon. |

i agree that the front bumper is not agressive enough stock. I would like the standard sport wheels be a little more agressive as well.

I agree. Just look at the new Acura TL. They took a great looking car and made it fugly. A downturn in sales will prove it. The E92 and E93 need little change if any.

yeah, probably just very minor changes but should be good. The new 335i(s) and 328i(s) look great IMHO.

re-designs are made to engineer new sales.....pre-existing models look outdated compared to the newest model available....its all smart brand marketing......

Traditionally, the 3 series mid-life facelifts are very minor. In fact, non-car people would be hard pressed to notice the differences between pre- and post- facelifted 3 series of the past.
One thing is certain- the 3 series sedan facelift is usually an indicator of the coming 3 series coupe facelift, if history holds true. Example: The E46 sedan facelift incorporated: -slightly changed headlights -slightly changed front spoiler -slight change in the hood creases -very slightly changed rear taillights (movement of one color - I think a yellow bar - down a few inches in the same taillight "socket") That's pretty much all it was. The E46 coupe facelift followed the sedan's lead one year later: -slightly changed headlights -slightly changed front spoiler -slight change in the hood creases -more significantly changed rear taillights (went to the horrible red "clown-nose of death" bullseye of LEDS) So by comparison, note the changes in the E90 facelift: -slightly changed headlights -slightly changed front spoiler -slight change in the hood creases -new sideview mirror-housings -very slightly changed rear taillights (with new LED bars "upturned" at the side) SOUND FAMILIAR??? So now you can infer the subtle changes to come on the E92 this fall: -slightly changed headlights - probably in the same "socket" shape but with some incorporation of yellow LED turn signals like the E90 -slightly changed front spoiler - everyone seems to be anticipating this -slight change in the hood creases - not such a bad thing -new sideview mirror-housings - could look ugly on the previously sleek E92 -very slightly changed rear taillights - guessing the LED bars will make a corresponding "upturn" at the side to fall in-line with BMW's new design direction - again may not be so bad depending how it's executed Since I have an '08 335xi coupe, it'll be interesting to see how they change it.

I would think that that just like the E90, the next facelift will make the 335i front and rear ends look more like an M3. Not the same but probably something in between the current 335i and the current M3
