Carrera S
I was having some fun with carrera s today. I was pretty surprised when he couldnt pull an inch on me in 3rd, 4th or 5th.
I was drafting him most the time.....does that make that big of a difference?

It was raining buckets today, I'm pretty sure he wasn't trying too hard to lose you. Either that, or you're both out of your mind.

hope you guys were on a very empty road or hwy. I do understand the urge to race when you own a fast car but i sure hope you went endangering others. It's total cool if you want to risk your own life. . . Just don't be dumb enough to hurt others. |

Read the OP's sig: he drives a Dinan Stage II 335xi. I figure his car has the better power-to-weight ratio. If not, it's damn close.

Umm, on a track it would tool you. Easy.
This thread is dumb. Racing in the rain is stupid.

same here.
anyways porsche had the jump in first due to my wheel spin (cold weather summer tires on my car). by the end of 2nd gear i was about 1/2 car length ahead and pulling. Dinan stage 2 no joke. ppp

Depends on which 911 model and which track. And of course, on the driver in the Porsche and in the BMW.

After driving my car at 15psi, my old man admitted that my car felt faster than his ('06 997S).
I'd have to agree, but the porsche would bully me pretty badly on a track (although, he's a better driver than I am), and it's not like I wouldn't trade my car for his any day of the week

It's just a guess on my part though; I could be wrong, though the older 911s were extremely tail happy.
