Your 07 e90 shift hard at low speed in DS mode?

I am new to the BMW thing and picked up a 2007 335i with a production date of 10/06. Software was recently updated by the dealer to 30.0.2 to clear up a steering column lock error. Since I have gotten the car I have noticed that it shifts a little hard sometimes around 1st and 2nd even in normal Drive. I have recently discovered DS mode and since I got my car back from the dealer about a week ago, DS is almost undriveable because it lurches so bad when it shifts at lower speeds. I notice it when in DS below about 40mpg.

Anyone else have this? Is this normal? Something the dealer should look at?

Mine downshifts hard and launches when I punch it from around 40 while in DS mode, but only does it when I floor it. Doesn't do it in D though. I think it is supposed to have a little harder shift while in DS. If yours is doing it when you aren't on the throttle hard or if it doesn't feel right, I would definitely get it checked out.

I put it in DS when merging from one highway to another and it picks up great when I hit the throttle, but when I slow down in traffic Im sure it looks like I am driving a manual and don't know how to. I guess I'll call them on Monday. This will be the third time I have had the car in since December 20th. Once for a failed fuel pump, and once for the steering column error light. Thought a car with 16000 miles on it would have fewer problems.

Just for clarification, mine downshifts hard as I am slowing down even from 30/40mph to 10mph. I am not talking about hard downshifts when I punch the gas.

mine shifted hard when I first got it new. I think it adapted to me and it's smooth as shit out of a duck. as for DS I only use that when I wanna haul ass. now unless I'm on the gas or brakes I don't use DS. but the times I've cruised in DS it seems like it can't wait to get into the next gear and shifts hard. like wise when it downshifts it's just trying to keep those rpms high.

Gotcha, yeah, mine doesn't do that. Definitely sounds like you have a problem going on. I would take it in soon as possible. Good luck.
