E90 Full audio install
I have the hi-fi option on an 06 MOST non-LCI E90.
I want to do a full install, and am thinking about how to do it. Due to the poor stockmidbass location (so high up the door) I think the best thing to do might be 3-way components. JL Audio ZR Evolution 3 ways would be the way to go. My full plans would be: JL ZR 525CSi components with JL 8" midbass driver/crossovers for 3-way bi-active setup, all chans amped independantly. Second set of components; XR650CSi in the rear door cards, with a custom dash mounting for the affiliated tweeters, as near to where the iDrive would be (if I had one!!) as possible, that are tuned down a little.. but throwing forward enough to bring the sound stage central. 12W7 in the boot, with the ski hatch opened up to allow bass into the cabin. This is all getting powered by an Alpine IVA-D106R with Navi, and the amps are Phoenix Gold Ti series, 500.4 (2 of these) and 800.1 Anyway, Are there any links to members who've done something like this before? I'd love to read up on some other installs but don't really know what to search for. All the best from Dave in the UK.

I dont think those will fit in the underseat sub area. Too deep a mounting depth unless you make the enclosure custom?? |

You mean the big 8 inch mids won't fit under the seats?
We can ofc make a custom enclosure but its gotta be "stealth" as it is stock, because I'll probably leave the enclosure when selling the car..
