Most Useless Feature -- avaerge mph

Every time I fill up with gas and reset my average MPG (a useful feature), I wonder what they were thinking by including an average MPH. I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever need to know or even care what my average speed was for a tank of gas.

It's included because they can include it.

But thanks for stating your opinion...

it is relevant
you will know if most of those miles were highway or city
for example
avg mph = 70mph
tank avg = 30mpg
or
avg mpg = 15mph
tank avg = 12mpg

Its a 'trip' computer....you leave from point A, drive to point B and use the trip computer to check your average speed for the journey.

Hey basmoul, I hope you're joking; otherwise, you're a gigantic idiot. Chief is spelled chief. See: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/chief

This is a good point - but if it is your car wouldn't you know that (HWY vs CITY) already? If the average MPH can also be reset, then I agree with the OP. The cooler was lame until I realized that it kept my ipod nice and chilled, as well as keeping my chewing gum from disintegrating during the last heat wave.

BTW methodtim is the resident grammar czar - He has been sent here by all the English teachers of our past to make our lives
miserable, and he enjoys what he does But just like the drug czar he refuses to accept that it is a losing battle on these forums. I commend him because some of the more recent threads and questions contained therein made no ****ing sense whether read in silence or read out loud.

The full rule is:

i before e except after c, or in sounding like a, as in neighbor or weigh

I'm still wondering how weird fits into that rule, unless we all become Canadian ;-)

I think it's there as a reminder and to make me feel like a dope. Some tanks all I use the E91 for is in-town commuting. When I cycle through and see the average MPH is 26, I know it's time to get my car out on the road and exercise it. If all I needed was a commuter, I could have saved $35K and bought a Hyundai.

Avg. speed is useful for long trips. I do wish there was a "reset all" option, instead of having to reset each stat individually.
