No, you can't buy just the lens. How bad is it? Plastic polishes (like from 3M) work very well. Otherwise I'd look for a used one.

Try Novus plastic polish and scratch remover. It works well and is sold at motorcycle shops. Good luck!

That looks pretty deep, sadly I don't think you can do anything, but replace it. I don't think it will effect the car though, besides being an eyesore.

The whole headlamp unit will have to be replaced on that one... The plastic piece is sealed on the unit and can't just be replaced.

I've polished a great deal of plastic items, damaged or enviromentally scarred/pitted. That scratch can be polished out.....if you have the patience. Go to 3M: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3....3Mcarcare.com

Now, you could buy the above kit, and attempt to repair this on your own, or look for a reputable high end detailer who is also proficient in plastic repair. This is your choice, a great deal of patience is require to polish plastic, as you have to make it look a lot worse before it gets better. This is the point most give up in panic, and replace the item.

I would also strongly suggest that you have a headlight lens protector installed, such as 3M's: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...rotectionFilm/

The above is best done by a professional, and keeps your car looking great. I have it on all of my cars, and it not only saves the paint from pitting and the headlights from damage, but it also saves me a lot of time where I would be performing paint and plastic maintenance instead of enjoying my car.

Oh, and by the way, the above will cost a lot less than $1 200, and/or cause you to file a claim with your insurance company. I hope this helps a little.

if you go to a good bosy shop they can take a polishing wheel to it, and it will look brand new.

I used a Permatex product (headlight restorer) on my Nissan due to the lens yellowing. While it was amazing how clear the lense was after years of oxidation, when you look closely, there are tiny scratches just like you'd see on body work.
