WOW! A Canadian forum that's actually active.
Hello all,
Nice to see an active Canadian forum. Anyone know the drivetrain loss on M-DCT? Is it the standard 15-20%? |

Welcome! We're doing our best to make sure Canadian M3 owners are well represented around here. Can't answer your question on drivetrain loss but must say I liked your launch control pic.
Make sure you post up some more pics of your car and your winter setup.

I would assume the same drivetrain loss. Energy loss is related to moving all the associated parts and once it is in gear the losses will be the same for a DCT or 6MT. One might split hairs for argument sake on individual minor differences but still gonna be very close to the same.
Now if you lightened the flywheel or or had a race driveshaft or special bearings things might change, not by much though. |
