Broken Rear electric sunshade

Hey all, signed up at the forum a few weeks ago and saying hello. I'm having a a problem with my rear electric sunshade on my 07 335 (E90). When i depress the the button to activate it i only hear one click sound in the rear but the shade does not raise up. I know its still warranted and may eventually bring it in. Can anybody tell me how far will the tech will tear into the car to get to this unit? Will they remove the seats to get to it or can it be accessed from trunk. Just wondering if its worth the trouble and risking the tech from messing up my interior.

I had the same problem.. after two tries they replaced the motor. I believe they removed the package shelf but am not sure. They did it in one day and I had no problems or new rattles. Tom

Go have it fixed. I doubt they will break anything else and if they do, they should fix that too. Have a lil faith.

If I remember correctly, they remove your trunk parcel liner in the trunk, remove your back seat bottom and back.
