Exclamation shit car problem, help!

Okay so basically the mods on the my car

Juicebox 2, Juicebox X, AA speed limiter defeat, Riss racing downpipe fix, UR catless downpipes, and BMS single cone intake

Basically i have had all these mods for months with no problems.

2 weeks ago a "service engine soon" light come on. I got the code read and it was apparently a "o2 sensor" problem and it needs to be replaced. So i am trying to get that replaced at the moment.

Today i bought this Intake cleaning system from K&N, took out the filter and cleaned it. Look all brand new , then waited for it to dry. I installed it all back up.

Now 4 hours later i decided to take my car around the block for a spin, i turn it on i see "Engine malfunction, reduced power" So im like

I restart the car numerous times and it keeps saying it. I start driving to see what would happen. As i accelarated past 2.5k this WEIRD choppy intake noise came out and the car felt TERRIBLE.

I dont know WTF is going on.

help?

Is your intake filter oiled? because when you clean it and re-oil it, if you over oil it, it could contaminate your MAF sensor which might cause some of these problems.

well part of the cleaning kit was oiling it.

I did so.

I dont believe i over-oiled. i just sprayed enough to make it semi red again.

So wtf do i do?

From what you have said, the intake noise is sounding choppy, so the MAF air sensor being contaminated might be a probable cause. I think the oiling of the filter is the probable cause of the proble. I dont think the SES light has anything to do with the problem if you have been running fine for 2 weeks.

Either replace the MAF sensor, or i hear you could use electronic contact cleaner to clean the sensor. Make sure you especially clean the wires inside the MAF sensor. Wait for the sensor to dry, then reinstall. BUT I WOULD CHECK WITH YOUR SERVICE MANAGER FIRST.

There is no MAF sensor in these cars. I'd suggest talking to Terry and get his feedback.

Cheers,

Failing o2 sensor can cause poor engine performance as well. Did you pull the most recent codes?

via a MAP sensor, it measures air pressure instead of air flow like a MAF
