LSD is bolted on 1 series?

Hey guys,

I was just surfing around the 1addicts forum and it seems like a guy did a quaife lsd install on his 1 series that has step tranny. The funny thing is, there is ring gear is not welded on the 1 series. According to the thread, step trannys aren't welded... only manual. Is this the same for the 335i? This blows if 1 series get the bolted ones, and us 335i guys got stuck with welded.

Can someone chime in? Maybe Harold from HP???

All manual 135i came with welded ring gear. Feb/March, 2007 and later manual 335i's are welded as well

Almost all automatic 135i's are bolted and July/2007 and later 335i automatics are bolted too.

diffsonline can also build you one. They have built a few for the turner motorsport e90's
