Is this covered under warranty?

Two of my OEM wheels have the paint finish peeling off of them. Is this the type of thing that would be covered under warranty?

I'm reluctant to ask the dealer as the car is leased and if this isn't warrantable, I don't want them making a note of this for when the car is turned back in.

I have the same issue. One forum reply asked if I have bought extra wheel/tire warrenty. Didn't as I have never heard of it. I have yet to take it to local dealer.

Seriously doubt it's covered. At the end of the day, on lease returns, as long as the car is in nearly the same condition as you bought it (no scratches or dents larger than a dime, plenty of tread on the rubber, etc), then they're not going to ding you. This means if you're near your lease termination date, you can spend a few bucks to bring the car back to better shape (refinish the wheels, etc) and you'll be better off $$$-wise than letting BMW ding you.
