warranty

BMW wont care if this thing is installed or not at the time of service. they will void your warranty without a second thought however, even if nothing is installed when you bring it in, especially if you bring it in for some sort of drive train issue. They check the average boost the turbo has been running. If it shows something crazy like 18psi and you bring it in or a blown motor or burnt turbo, they will know you were running modified software. The cars computer stores the average psi the turbo has been running in memory. Many people have had this issue and it seems as of late BMW is taking or more aggresive stance on the subject. If you dont care about your drivetrain warranty, then go ahead and chip car.

well, "sherlock" some people might not know. were you going to volunteer that warning to a potential buyer, i doubt it. I wasnt really interested in helping you sell your product, but making sure someone who isn't as all knowing as you are doesn't get themselves into a situation they didn't anticipate. Happy holidays jersey boy

i thought schmuck was a little too harsh so i decided to turn it down a little, no need for that language here. I never said it wasn't a great tune. in fact i completely agree it is ,dollar for dollar, one of the cheapest ways to up the performance of a 135. I do still stand by my statement. The dealerships have been keeping a close eye on those turbos lately, and this mod is really not meant for just anyone.

Am i reading that right, 318HP. How is this a "good tune"? Anyone that would pay $550 for such little gains would be considered a "schmuck"!

Speakin of BMW, just wait till ya see what they have up their sleeves now. New "real-time" tech computers aint no joke...

rawbert54, dreamk, Deeznuts,

As you gentlemen are new to the forum, please be aware Admin@1ADDICTS encourages an environment of respectful discussion, even courteous dissent, also, be advised Admin@1ADDICTS has little tolerance for disruptive behavior. Please consider this posting your sole and only advisory.

Ordinarily, boorish posts would simply have been jettisoned, however, in this case, as the chain of invective was initiated by the OP, the posts may remain, perhaps but temporarily, as a reminder to conduct ourselves according to forum expectations. Also, in the spirit of evenhandedness, you've all received infractions. This thread is closed.

Thank you.

OP, should any desire your item, they can still access this sale plus any POC.

Welcome to 1ADDICTS.
