Dinan High Performance Bushing Kit ?
Has anyone done this or have a take on how it would work? I have never replace bushings and I am curious.

I should be having this installed next Wednesday so I hope to give you some impressions after I've had it for a while. Will be added them along with camber plates.

I saw these as well. I wonder how long it'll be before they have a full suspension package for the 1. It would make sense to do the bushings along with shocks/springs and camber plates.

These will be going in along with the Vorshlag plates, and my already installed KW v2s and H&R rear sway, not to mention lighter wheels and tires. The goal is maximum road feel and feedback on the track, which gets pretty important with the type of power the engine tune puts out.
Actually want to wait for the Brembo brakes before I get on the track though, unless and after-market pad setup becomes viable. The install cost is high, but since I'll have much of the car apart at the time I don't expect it to be too much worse - but you are definitely right that the job is not tiny.

I have always done bushings on everyone one of my cars. I think one of the best things you can do. It makes your suspension much more predictable and all other suspension pieces work even better as there is now know movement in the rubber. i will ait to see if there's a poly or delrin full set coming out.

I was able to validate that the Dinan parts are from e92 M3. The bushings have the M3 Logo moulded into the rubber and control arms have the part number laser etched on them. They did take off the sticker so you could pay twice as much.
BTW, the M3 front strut bar fits e92…it may fit 135i. Orb |

Do you think the rear subframe bushings are worth it? I was thinking that if you are doing sway bars, you have to lower the subframe anyway and it may be the right time to do it. I'd do the front control arms at the very least, should not be too difficult.

How did you verify this Orb? The photo they have online is pretty tiny. Did you verify this from a Dinan tech or something? Just curious.
Of note - Dinan hasn't yet shipped these bushings. I am here in NorCal having one of Dinan's own shops here waiting on parts still.

I am kind of digested that Dinan is in the BMW part reselling business as they did nothing than validating the fitment. Anyway, the jig is up and it will not take long for other to find out this is a fact. Orb |

Any idea of the cost of these same parts from someone other than Dinan? If the parts are an improvement over stock, and Dinan doesn't charge much more than any other reseller, then what is the problem? If they are a lot cheaper then yes, this is a valid point. Just curious as I haven't seen these online so no way to guess the "normal" price. Given the prices I've seen from BMW for parts I wouldn't be surprised if Dinan's price is no worse.

Hahaha, that is awesome... a $500 profit for Dinan.
I wonder if that special tool they mention on the website, needed to remove the rear subframe, is in fact some $5 torx or star bit.

Stiffer bushings reduce the flex designed into the stock bushings and allow your suspension to do its job better. When driven hard, soft bushings can allow your cars wheels to toe in or out, camber in or out and cause wheel hop. Stiffer bushings will minimize or eliminate many of these undesirable/uncontrollable suspension geometry changes. Nate
