Only options that seem to have been missed are:

- Adaptive headlights
- Ski load system
- Elec Seats
- Adaptive steering

errrr and that's about it!

Highly specced car - you're mad

We look forward to the pics!

Nice spec

Have you considered a different colour leather? I've always been a fan of all-black interiors, but after looking around some high spec convertibles at the dealer this morning, and also some of the photos over in the 'Leather interior Pictures please' thread, am starting to really like some of the more 'individual' colours.

I just went a bit tick happy really. I didn’t want the electric seats at for £900 they are a bit much for something you only adjust a handful of times unless you share the car! Sat Nav is too expensive, I’m not a big fan of the idrive system and prefer the buttons to control the hi-fi etc. Don’t go skiing, adaptive headlights – bit of a non starter for £900 again and again active steering – maybe if I was 70 but not at 23.

Looking forward to it though, not much colour choice at the M Sport level, was looking at silver but had silver in the past and wanted a ‘colour’. Interior – going for brushed Ali I think, not seen any of the others and like the idea of metal rather than plastic. I think the red is a bit bright for me. Got red trim in my MINI but in the 1er its much more in your face, plus looks crap with the blue paintwork IMO.

Rock on September!

Do you have to get the dealer to programme options into the key or can you do them yourself?

Do you mean if it unlocks all the doors or just the drivers? You can set it yourself in the onboard computer.

Yeah and some other things, like fuel warning sound, auto central locking on drive off etc.

You had to get the dealer to do it all on the MINI I had

You can do the following from the onboard computer:

- DRL's (Daytime running lights)
- Indicator flash with alarm on/off
- Autolock on driving
- Unlock driver door or all doors with one click

Think there is a few other options, but I can't remember.

If I remember right, you can also...

- adjust instrument brightness
- how long lights stay on for pathway lighting
- reset tyre pressure indicator for the runflats
- access any warning message (door open, bulb blown etc.)
- check oil level
- usual stuff like set time/date, choose miles or km.
- access service indicator

...can't think of anything else. Nothing about a fuel warning sounds AFAIK.

my sales bird told me don't bother running it in, but that sounded daft to me so reading the manual i think it was 1200 miles not over 3000rpm .

and the doors do auto unlock as standard.

Don't think so. I find if you've locked the doors (either automatically or manually), and you go to get out of the car, you have to pull the lever once to unlock and again to open. I don't bother locking them now.

Must be mad. Just been out in the rain to check

It's just black plastic up front, but mine is black matting stuff in the rears - looks a bit like felt.
