by the way, tell him which model and which transmission you have. the bdd401A is for the automatic and bdd401 is for the stick, i believe. but Andy knows better.

NOTES ON INSTALL, from other forums:
*goes smoother if you disconnect the battery before installing
*the part that plugs into the pedals, has numbers on it. match up these numbers to the numbers in the pedal assembly
*the part that goes into the wire from the floor does not have these numbers. it is possible to install it upside down and throw a code. So, b4 installing this end, inspect the plug from the floor and inspect the SB end that plugs into it. notice that one side is flat on both plugs. Make sure the flat sides line up, so you're not installing it upside down.
*before installing make sure the pins on your unit are not bent - you can unbend them if they are - and make sure you don't install it backwards.

mjovic, i've never tried it, and like anything else you'll have to figure out if the product is right for you on your own. one place to start is the e60forum link i posted above and the reviews on this site. but i am with you, i want to get rid of the throttle lag and i'm hoping fuel consumption doesn't suffer too much. but fuel consumption is much less of a concern. i'll add you to the list, let me know if you want to be taken off.
