It's nearly here...
Getting excited now, car is due to be delivered at the dealer's on the 23rd May, and I am collecting in the late afternoon! I am sooooooooooo excited finally get my car (ordered mid Feb) and just in time for the bank holiday weekend. I am visiting friends that weekend, so will be great to show off :w00t: Anyway, I will take plenty of pics... already got quite a few things to do: - Install BMW Performance shadowline grills - Install new BMS Air Filter (for the noise!) - Install Riss Racing CDV (clutch delay valve) - Install GP Thunder 8500 sidelights - Do the 'golf tee' mod Also going to order the BMW Performance pedals... still shocked the car doesn't come with brushed metal pedals! I am considering the carbon mirrors, but want to see them in the flesh first. Got about 2000 business miles planned for June, so the car will be well run-in in no time! Will update has soon as I pick it up! A very exited moff

I ordered it direct from http://www.burgertuning.com/products.html
Charged me $119 + about $15 delivery. Very cheap with the $ rate! Goto for a good video, cheezy but you get the idea from the sound! There is also an install video on You Tube and it looks really easy.

That sounds sweet.
Presume it's another case where you'll have to switch to standard before servicing etc? I'm not sure I want to know how much the BMW Performance intake is going to cost though. Having said that, the BMW Performance exhaust is £654 fitted at my local dealer, which isn't that bad I reckon |

Forgot to add the Riss Racing CDV that arrived today!
Not going to bother reverting to stock for the air filter... it's not really performance enhancing and I am going to buy a K&N Cleaning kit and sort myself. The BMW airfilter is only changed every Inspection 2 IIRC. I was looking into the BMW air filter too, and may still buy it depending on how it sounds and if it is under £250 which I seriously doubt!

I've just checked the BMW Performance catalogue, and it's only got the intake listed for the 125i and 130i hatchback, so it looks like you've made the right (and substantially better value!) choice.
I'd be interested to know your thoughts on the gearbox pre and post Riss Racing CDV install too. All this talk is making the wait worse! |

My 2nd S2000 had a CDV as well and I hated it.
Basically when you change gear quickly or nail it from the line, the CDV causes a delay in the pickup from the clutch / gearbox leading to much slower shifts and the feeling that you are riding the clutch. A CDV basically limits the supply of fluid to the clutch causing the above. The Riss Racing CDV is really the same part but with a slightly bigger hole in the valve. It won't be detected by BMW as it looks the same and it will only cause issue if you are the type of driver who dumps the clutch a lot - which will limit the life of your clutch.

Lol, it's funny reading the UK forum and then the US. We talk about performance mods, the US guys talk about cup holders and creature comforts on their 1 series.

Sound clip from the BMW Performance exhaust in the first post of this thread. From the different exhausts I've heard, I probably only prefer the cp-e to the BMW |

I know what you mean, but I do like to keep 'obvious' stuff OEM as much as possible.
