Just notice something cool about iDrive

The programmable buttons on the center console are touch sensitive. Run your finger across them slowly and the LCD display will show the preset for each button. (Do not apply any pressure to depress the buttons)

Hey I guess that's what I deserve for not reading the manual diligently. I like to find these little things on my own.

Hey Robert,

Are you referring to the radio presets? Like you, I'm not particularly eager to not reading the owner's manual unless absolutely necessary.

The buttons are below the CD drive slot. Putting your finger on them without pressing brings up what they are on the screen. At the bottom of the screen you can see that buttons 1, 2 and 3 (as I have them programed on my car) are music, 4 isn't programed for anything right now and 5 and 6 are phone numbers I frequently use.
PLEASE DON"T CALL DAN.....I don't have editing software to blur out his number.

Is there free software out there anywhere that I could use for minor editing????

edit: THANKS hansenc.........that software is exactly what I needed
