They just quoted me $400 for the shadowline grill with install. Each grill is listed as $50 per side. Labor is less than an hour. $400, they must be nuts.

They also wouldn't budge on MSRP for me either (whereas it seems like everyone else is now starting to get a little off MSRP). I decided to go elsewhere since they really didn't seem to care about negotiating whatsoever at all.

That's insane, who did you talk to? My advice is to talk to Howie he's a good guy he's the only one I do busy with.

Yeah, they didn't know that the piece could be ordered that way. The price they quoted was to paint the exisiting ones black!

"We can't keep these cars in the lot... no one is going to sell it to you for MSRP". Oh yea? Pace BMW just did, and quite a bit under MSRP as well. Scare tactics don't work on me guys. Steer clear of this one.

I went to Hassel in Freeport. Talk to Steve Bingham. Hes a good guy and he was willing to dip under MSRP if you push a bit. Also, Peter at Hassel service is wonderful. Its also a corporate owned dealer, so they have the best technicians. All around fantastic dealer.

I got it closer to invoice than MSRP. I'd still steer clear. You shouldn't have to push for less than MSRP in this economy, not on this car. I don't visit dealerships to make friends, I visit them to sign paperwork and drive away a car I want. Perhaps some people want to pay extra for that extra touch of friendliness, but no 2-hour fake friendship is worth thousands in my opinion.

How hard is it to give me a damn price and sell me the car?
