Limp Mode during Track Night Codes P0299, 2042A, P0425, P0101
2011 335D 240K miles, only mod is EGR valve turned off (pin removed) after CBU cleaning 12/24/2018 about 6 years and 54k miles ago.
During track night a Sebring yesterday the car went into limp mode on my fith lap. Oil temp was 190 degree , I let it cool off for an hour, no more Limp Mode, second session went into Limp Mode at Turn 2 Blue Drive code reader indicates: P0101=Mass Air Flow 2042A = Catalyist Temp Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2 20425 = Catalyist Temp Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 p0299 = Underboost Condition/ Turbo Boost Sensor Woudl like to here what the community thinks the problem actually is? Mass air sensor was replaced in 2017 I have a good local mechanic who diagnosed a fuel rail sensor when first got the car in 2018 at 175K. No more Limp Mode at start up today. Any help is greatly appreciated.. |

Did you solve the issue? My guess would have been that the first three codes came after the last code and the boost issue was caused by either a crack on the pressurized side of the intake plumbing or an issue with one of the turbos. What did you find out?
