Smile Knaus BMW ILLinois

Just wanted to say how great the service was at Knaus BMW in Illinois. Out of all the BMW dealerships I emailed while I was in Iraq they were the only ones to actually respond to me with a real person. All the other dealerships kept sending me junk mail.

A salesman Named Eduard Moes was EXTREMELY helpful! He responded to me while I was in Iraq and FULLY KNOWING that I had already purchased one through a Military discount, still took the time to help me out. He even took out time in his day to have me test drive the 135i they got in. Remember knowing FULLY WELL that I had already purchased the car and was not going to be getting a sale.

Just wanted to inform people of how much they (really Eduard Moes) had helped me. He was very knowledgable about the car and is a true BMW enthusiast. He actually has 2 small websites and EVERYONE in his family drives a BMW of one kind or another. He was is also actually getting a new 135i.

I believe a friend and I were waiting our turn for a test drive while you were out in the 1 series (Last Thursday?).

Ed is a great guy, uber BMW fan, and I can only imagine a great sales person.

Enjoy your 1, and stay safe

AWESOME news about KNAUZ in Lake Bluff. I am 9 miles away and visit the dealer almost every sunday for the last 2 years. Its my sunday morning cruise. I have ALWAYS wanted a BMW.

Has anybody else purchased a car from KNAUZ??? I would like to know about their experiance. Did they add any odd charges besides tax, title, license transfer??? Like a DOC fee and how much?

Before finding Motorwerks, I always took my cars to Knauz BMW for service until they damaged my steering wheel and seat while fixing the seat rails in my roadster. I then bought a Benz for my wife, the sales team is top touch. However the MB experience was sooo bad I don't want to talk about ;(

However, these types of problems can happen anywhere. ...although I have never had a problem at Motorwerks (3 BMW's later).

Thanks chriskurn. Motorworks is way too far from me. Knauz will have to do. I think the only German car I would buy is a BMW. TOO many bad things read about MB, and Audi's.

Like I said the service from Eduard Moes was second to none. Taking the time with me to test drive, even when I already purchased one. Just an amazing experience. I can only imagine how accomidating he would be if you actually BOUGHT the car from him. lol

I have talked to a saleswomen named Sara 3 times now. She just seems to always be in the showroom when I go in. I am worried about dealing with a young women vs. an older man. I think being young she will be money-hungry. She already told me she works on 100% commission. Thats says something. OH NO. But if I deal with someone else she will hate me, but most women do anyway, I don't look like Mel Gibson or Brad Pitt.

Since I live in Kenosha Wisc I think Knauz would be the closest dealer to me. Has anybody gotten a good deal there? If so, how much off? And if they Have any other fees besides a small doc fee.

I bought my lat car at Knauz from Dave Benck. He took really good care of me. The experiences at Knauz versus my previous really bad dealer were night and day.

The *only* complaint I have about Knauz is that you have to plan your service appointments farther in advance than I'd like.

I got my car from Chad at Knauz. It was a really pleasant buying experience. There was no pressure the buy or order a car and they are very accomodating. Chad even let me take the car home for a few hours to show my family. He gave us a price of $500 over invoice. He was very straight forward with us and was very very helpful. What stood out for me was the atmosphere when you walk in the dealership compared to other car companies. Its just a completely different atmosphere, its very relaxed and you don't feel pressured. You really feel like they value you as a customer, unlike other car dealerships/companies I've been to who look at you like you are a walking dollar sign. It was an all around great experience and I will be going to Knauz for a long long time.

My girlfriend and I have purchased 6 cars (4 mine 2 hers) from Knauz Mercedes (part of the same complex) in the last few years and we were always treated very well, when I inquired about buying a 135i from their BMW side I was treated like cr*p. I asked them for the best price they could offer me on a 135i optioned as I wanted it and they pointed me to a used car that wasn't even close, I'm sorry to say that they have lost our business. I never expected poor treatment from Knauz but that's what I received.
