M340i options

Hi guys, just about to purchase a used approved LCI M340i which has my preferred spec (carbon trim, sunroof, comfort plus) with the exception of tech plus (it only has tech pack) but wondering if I'll regret not waiting for one with the tech plus. There's a car with the same spec and age etc. that's got the tech plus instead of tech but it's £3k more...is it worth stumping up the extra cash? I understand the tech plus comes with ACC (my current car doesn't have this anyway), drive recorder and also 360 camera (probably the main feature I think I'll regret not having). Would you say these are must haves from your experience?

Thanks for your input

I like park assist, but could do without all that other nonsense.

Don't they all come standard with park assist? Or is there a more advanced version you only get with tech pack plus?

EDIT: Do you mean the 360 camera for parking?

Not sure of the packages in your specific country, but you may have missed the most important option of them all: The Adaptive M Suspension.

Standard in the UK I believe (where I'm from)

Every option you can get is good. A fully loaded M340i is a treat. That being said, 360 camera, parking sensors, and adaptive suspension are the big ones.

I love the 360 cameras. Helps a lot when parking in public and I want to park very close to a curb and other scenarios like that. I have not used it to auto park.

ha03274 - you can use the VIN to check on all the equipment from factory. Adaptive suspension and 360° cameras are a must for me. The car is not small and has a big turn radius, so not the easiest to manoeuvre in tight spaces. ACC - I haven't made friends with it for almost 9 months, just tried it and never used it again. Didn't expect it, but steering wheel heating feels nice! Would definitely order it from now on.

Agreed, having a fully loaded car I can say has made the experience much better.

M adaptive suspension is one of the most important transforms the cars ride.

Park assist with 360 camera is nice to have I mainly use the top view the most. sometimes check the 360 angles. I never use the self parking feature though.

ACC is great especially if you live somewhere with traffic in the highway.

I traded my 2023 for a fully loaded 2020. It’s amazing

For some reason in the UK there don't seem to be that many used approved LCI with the tech plus pack.

All nice features to have but as you say £3k is a lot for essentially 360 camera given that the ACC is a slightly restricted version of the auto pilot system other country's have. Also in the UK I find with traffic there is limited times its used to its full extend anyway.
Having said that it does give you lane departure warning which is nice to have.

Drive recorder ins't really a big miss if I'm honest.

Hi. I've just chopped in my C43 saloon for a G21 M340i Touring (thanks mutt). Fully specc'd except for the Tech Pack Plus.

I personally think the standard parking sensors and reverse camera are really decent so not fussed about 360 degree one. A shame the wing mirrors don't have the lane departure warning red lights but, again, can live without them.

The B58 engine....Wow. What a car. You'll love it. Enjoy.
