Stock 18 tire size, plus your recommendation

Hi, i looked at what bmwusa posted as tire size, and some of the posts on here, but there is some conflicting data.

2 questions...What are the exact tire sizes, front are rear, for the "standard" 18 135i wheels?

Secondly, if I want to keep the stock 18 rims, and stay with the same tire size that came with the car, what do you think are the best tires I could replace the run flats with for maximum ride and comfort, with the lowest noise possible?

thanks in advance...Happy New Year!

Chris

215/40 R18 Front, 245/35 R18 Rear, Bridgestone RE050A Run Flats (they might RE050A II RFT). There are plenty of threads in this section that discuss tire choices (some a bit old).

Hugo is right on. But were you looking for non-runflats? If so, I'd suggest Yokohama S.Drive.

thanks, yes, looking for non-run flats. I like the reviews on that s drive. im glad it will fit. i wasn't sure about the size because on the bmw site, it states the fronts are 215/44/18. I was thinking the 44 was supposed to be "45", but it looks like they are "40". At least I hope thats right!

Personaly, I'd upgrade the fronts to 225x40-18 for a little less understeer.
