Phone Connection Issue

Hello All,

I have been having issues with connecting my phone to my 2023 BMW M340xi. This happens with both Android and Apple phones, even the phones that I have previously paired. I have attached the error but no matter what I do I get the message "not possible to connect this device. Bluetooth version no longer available." I have been trying to get in touch with a Genius, but have been unsuccessful in getting an appointment/call from my local dealer.

Try iDrive soft reset. If that doesn’t work attempt a hard reset.

This has happened to me a couple of times running the latest iOS and the latest iDrive firmware. What you do is put your phone in airplane mode for 5 seconds, then take it out of airplane mode, then about 20 seconds later it reconnects. Annoying, but infrequent.

Had the same thing happen after I did some coding. Reverted back and everything worked fine.

After pushing and holding the power/volume button for 70 seconds the car allowed me to repair my phone and it now works again. Sad that it took 5 days to get a response from BMW genius.
