Part of this answer may be the lack of a spare. Im not sure whether or not one is included, so I add the question:

Is there a spare tire?

Lightweight wheels and non-runflat tires are going to add to performance.

Getting rid of the run flats will be my first mod. I had a hell of an issue with them on my 325i e90. Omg warm or cold shit would shake. They claimed that its the road after 13 balances and switching to regular tires i had to leave the freakn car.
Arent run flats apart of the whole suspension setup on the cars now? To me it makes sense , but i dont give a shit im buying michelin pilot sports when i get my hands on my 135i.

Are the run flats all season tires? If so you just saved your self from waisting money on steelies and winter tires unless you sell the rubber right when you get the car and put winter tires on it and buy another pair of summer rubber :> So you are technically benifiting from having these wheels put on from the stealership.

There isn't much cost savings to BMW by not having a spare, since the tires are so much more expensive. For those of us getting the ZSP on the 128i or getting the 135i (and you're in danger of getting any snow/ice in the winter), you're going to have to plan on getting winter tires to replace these summer only tires. I attempted to drive a winter on the Bridgestone runflats, and it was awful. (I only drive 4 miles daily to the train station, straight line too. Two miles there, two miles back.)

It is a safety regulation that thye have to offer either:

-a spare tire
-runflats
-flat tire repair kit (like the M Mobility Kit)

I'll be using that M Mobility Kit and regular tires soon after purchase...

You cna get them on ebay for around $110. You can also make up a kit like that that for cheaper, by shopping at Harborfreighttools.com. I have one already, and I'm a roundel whore. :wink: So, I went with the real BMW badged kit.

According to BMW USA the BMW M Mobility Kit is $112 from the dealer.

As an aside for any who might be interested...
