Charging Door Fell Off!

I went to open my charge port access door this evening and it seemed to be a little stuck.

I pushed it a bit harder and it literally fell off and hit the floor!!

Seems like the plastic hinge has somehow sheared off. It’s only a 5 month old car so not too impressed.

Now I’m a little worried about water getting in the charge port whilst I await a slot at the dealer, which is over a months wait…

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experiences with anything similar?

I've had mine for 16 months and 28k miles. Charge it every night and no issues. I'm surprised the dealer can't get you in sooner. My local dealer has a no appointment necessary policy.
